‘Under the Dome’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Junior and Melanie hatch a plan
Where does the story go from here on “Under the Dome“? Things have shifted pretty dramatically with Barbie and Jim over the past couple of episodes, and this in turn makes one question all the more intriguing right now: Who is responsible for taking the egg?
The answer to this depends heavily on who you ask. Junior, as seen in the official sneak peek below, very much believes that his father may be the guilty party behind this. However, at the same time Melanie is starting to wonder about Julia for one simple reason: Barbie. How far are you willing to go in order to protect the people you love and care about? She wonders if there were motivations sparked by love that caused her to make such a big move.
We imagine that the show will spend a little bit of time addressing this debate, but hopefully not too long given that we are in the middle of the ninth episode, and it feels like we really should be getting to another place right now when it comes to the story. There are only a small handful of stories still left to tell after this one, and there are many questions ranging from what is life beyond the dome really like to what is the purpose of those within it. We don’t need to know everything, but at least a little bit of information at this point would be nice.

“You” may feel like the story needs to get to another place, but I am loving every minute of this show. It’s a shame we have such a long break between seasons. I can’t get enough of it!
