‘The X Factor’ UK: See Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

As you almost definitely know by now, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is completely taking the world by storm. You’ve got some celebrities who are not even social-media savvy all taking part in this.

Meanwhile, “The X Factor” UK has also taken the world by storm, and that could be great yet again this year with Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole back on the show. Hopefully, there will be some snide comments back and forth, but also a little bit of fun. We really think that this is a show that has a little bit of life in it, at least provided that the right people end up trying out.

Now, we’ve got some pretty fun ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos featuring not only Cowell and Cole (who Simon challenged), but also Mel B, who is working very hard at the “America’s Got Talent” live shows. Of course, you can head over here if you want to donate to Project ALS, one of the best charities that is out there to fight this terrible disease.

So when can you expect this show to make its way back to TV? It’s really not going to be too long now. The new season of “The X Factor” is going to premiere a week from Saturday, and at that point we will get a chance to see some great performances and contestants who could become the next big thing. We’re optimistic about the direction of the season for now, but still feel like in the end that it is all about talent.
