‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Does Troian Bellisario’s Spencer have new love interest?

The pattern for “Pretty Little Liars” and love interests at this point should be pretty obvious. Eventually, a couple ends up breaking up after a long time together, and then someone else comes in for a short amount of time, only to eventually leave when the other person comes back into the picture. We saw this happen with Aria and Jake, with Emily multiple times, and also most recently with Hanna and Travis prior to her getting close to Caleb again.

So are we close to seeing Spencer with someone else? We thought this was going to happen when it comes to the academic decathlon, but we really may be seeing it happen now. Per a new report from E! News, the show is introducing a new character named Johnny Raymond, played by Will Bradley of “The Normal Heart,” who will be sticking around for at least three episodes in the second half of this season. He is described as being “cute” and “edgy,” and will work significantly with Troian Bellisario during his time on the show.

None of this is a guarantee that Spencer’s getting a new love, but we do wonder given how much Toby has fluttered in and out of the show as of late. We like Keegan Allen, but for some reason his character hasn’t had a whole lot to do ever since he and Spencer made up.
