‘Reign’ season 2 spoilers: Mary, Francis, and more Comic-Con scoop
Do you love “Reign“? The CW series had its panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, and in the process there was some pretty interesting scoop revealed all about where the journey for Mary is going to go right now.
The first thing that we will say? That while the show is loosely based on history, the operating word there is loosely. Therefore, don’t necessarily assume anything about the immediate future of a character like Francis based on what happened in history. Executive producer Laurie McCarthy told fans that she is not necessarily in an enormous rush to have anything happen to him, especially since there is so much going on right now with him and Mary.
As for some other stories coming up to keep watch over…
- Season 2 is set to expand the world significantly beyond what we have seen so far. Namely, there will be more opportunities to see royals and lords holding court with Mary than what we have seen to date.
- Marriage will treat Mary for the most part well, but do expect that there will be at least a few stepping stones that she has to cross over before she truly reaches the end.
- The biggest struggle that everyone is going to face on the show moving forward? Plague. This is an interesting enemy, given that it is so hard to identify.
- Is there a chance for a baby between Mary and Francis? At the moment, you cannot rule it out.
The new season of “Reign” premieres on The CW Thursday, October 2, so you at least know that there is not a significant amount of waiting ahead for new episodes.
