‘Big Brother 16’ live feed / ‘After Dark’ spoilers: Frankie Grande eulogizes grandfather

A little earlier in the day, we found out that Frankie Grande was told on “Big Brother 16” about his grandfather passing away in the house. It was a sad, painful moment for him, and it also showed that production can do the right thing despite all the criticism that we live feeders give them from time to time.

Not long after the information first broke to Frankie, he decided that he was going to present a eulogy to his grandfather at 9:00 p.m. Big Brother Time, which is the official start for “After Dark.” He claimed that he wanted to be able to have his family see it without too much of a problem, and this was a way to do it.

One of the reasons that he wanted to do this alone was so that he could clearly talk openly about who his family really is, including of course his sister and all of her accomplishments. At one point, he moved from one room to another thinking that some houseguests may be able to hear him. He was happy to know the news, though, saying it would have been “devastating” for him to learn after the fact.

Frankie also claimed that if he can complete the next Team America mission, he will use all of the money that he has won so far in order to go to Africa and help build a school named in his grandfather’s honor.

The one thing that made the speech somewhat awkward was that about halfway through, Victoria was yelled at for talking about her Diary Room sessions. Meanwhile, Zach started to quote movies in the other room.

Tomorrow, the game will probably resume more. We haven’t discussed the events of the house today much, mostly because of this situation being such a sad and unique one for the show. Also, Brittany’s eviction seems so obvious that there is not a lot of game talk.
