‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Malcolm-Jamar Warner scores guest stint
How is this for some “Sons of Anarchy” casting we can definitely get behind? Odds are, you are probably a fan of Malcolm-Jamal Warner already so long as you like “The Cosby Show.” He’s a comedy icon, and one of those guys that you see do a variety of different things.
So to see him score a recurring role on the final season of the motorcycle drama? This is something that we salute, especially since it continues the Kurt Sutter tradition of casting people that we don’t immediately expect for interesting roles. Sources confirm that Warner will appear in at least two episodes, starting with the September 9 premiere (which will officially run an hour and 45 minutes). As for his role? It will be Sticky, an important member in the Grim Bastards who also runs closely with the returning T.O. Cross (Michael Beach).
For fun, let’s add a little bit of show trivia to this story:
- This is the third “unexpected” casting of the year for the show, given that we also have now both Marilyn Manson and also Courtney Love officially on board in other roles.
- This is also another classic sitcom star coming on the show, with the other prominent one of course being Katey Sagal after so many years on “Married … with Children.”
While the focus in this final season will be of course on wrapping up the story of Jax Teller and SAMCRO, all these castings do is continually tell us that he still wants to ensure that there is a full world surrounding these roles in the process.
