‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Courtney love signs up for multiple episodes

The latest -Well, you can definitely file this one away under “announcements we did not expect when it comes to ‘Sons of Anarchy.'”

According to TVLine, Courtney Love has signed on to do multiple episodes of the show’s final season in the role of Ms. Harrison, a preschool teacher who tells it like it is, and also enters Jax’s world thanks to a “special interest” that she takes in his son Abel. While this is certainly a casting that comes as a surprise, one thing to remember here is that Love does have a film resume that was especially notable back in the late 1990s, and even received a Golden Globe nod for her work on “The People vs. Larry Flynt.”

Also, show creator Kurt Sutter has a habit of casting surprising people for guest roles on his show, including “Community” star Joel McHale (much more known for his comedy chops) and rock star Dave Navarro. This is not even the first casting from the rock world this year, as Marilyn Manson has also checked in to do a guest stint on the show, as well. It may be easy to question some of these choices from a distance, but all of them so far have worked out reasonably well. The moment that a casting choice starts to fail on the show is when we’ll start raising an eyebrow.

We just shared the first promo for the final “Sons of Anarchy” season earlier today, and while there is no confirmed premiere date just yet, we’re expecting things to start back up come September.
