NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 7: Blake Shelton’s team to be advised by…
Ready for some more news when it comes to advisers and “The Voice“? Well, the good news now is that we’ve learned officially who is going to be lending a hand to Team Blake Shelton during our personally-maligned Battle Rounds stage of the competition.
Per a report from “Access Hollywood,” Blake has enlisted the help of country group Little Big Town, who he hopes can use this show to get a little more of a name behind them beyond just the genre community:
“There is gonna be an entire new audience who is gonna find out these people are which is – they need to know who they are,” he told Liz. “It’s the same thing that happened to me when I started doing this show as country artist. We don’t get that many opportunities to be on television and we do we got to make the most of it and I am excited for allot [sic] of people to find out who Little Big Town is.
“I mean, if you are a country music fan you already love them, but if you are not necessarily someone who listen to country radio all the time, you are gonna find out who they are and it’s gonna be a big deal.”
We are happy for the group, mostly because this is a rare opportunity to get to have some of that exposure. Unfortunately, we still wish there was a better way to implement them on the show than this. The Battle Rounds don’t seem to be altogether conducive to the contestants, and we also never feel like the editing in them is very strong; the segments last far too long.
What do you think: Is Little Big Town the right mentor for Blake’s team, or could you really care less at the moment? Share your thoughts now with a comment, and to see some more scoop about who is helping Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani this coming season, head over to the link here.

I’m thrilled for LBT!! As Blake said, if this brings them to a larger audience, I’m all for it. They’ve been too good for too long to still be an opening act for other artists. It’s called “The Voice” and LBT has 4 of the finest, so I think they are worthy of their mentoring duties.
