‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: Talking Caleb, Amber, and fan wars
We interrupt our typical “Big Brother 16” live feed coverage to bring you a special report, one mostly brought on by all of the internet chatter that we have seen over the past couple of days about one player and one player in particular: Amber.
We first of all turn to this question, mostly because we have seen it debated so much online over the past few days: Is she stringing Caleb along? Yes. Maybe she is intending to for the sake of her game, or maybe that is all pure coincidence. Regardless of the reasoning, it really does not change the fact that it is happening. Her actions are still in the end her actions. She has come clean to the rest of the house mostly about her not having feelings for him, but she’s never been that honest with him.
Now, we turn to another subject: Is it really a bad thing for her to do this? This is where the controversial subject of gender comes into this? If this was a male player doing this to a woman, we’d all be touting them as a great player and this dominating force who can get women to basically be zombies for them. So why is Amber being loathed online for doing the same thing? Is it because she is somewhat hypocritical about it? Maybe, but this is a game. Stringing someone along can be a great strategy, especially when it is someone who is a much bigger target than you? Caleb will surely go home before Amber will, and he will also fight to keep her safe if need be.
So maybe Amber will have “the talk” with Caleb soon, and we actually think that it could ultimately benefit her to. Being attached to him could be a sinking ship, and if she goes back to being a floater, she could have a longer lifespan in the game.
Either way, we don’t blame Amber, and we attribute most of the Twitter “outrage” right now to the fact that the house is quite frankly boring. We almost wish Devin was in power again just so things would be crazy.
We’ll have a full review of tonight’s episode up later at the link here, so be on the lookout for that. Also, sign up today to get even more scoop from us courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter.
