‘The Bachelorette’ podcast: Talking Andi Dorfman, lie detectors, and Marquel with Jessa

It’s been two weeks since we sat down to do a “Bachelorette” podcast, so it is fair to say that there was quite a bit to discuss in the chat with Matt Carter and Jessa this morning.

The topics were numerous, and we had to begin with a pretty thorough conversation of the episode prior to this week’s and the departure of Marquel. How badly do we miss him? The answer is “a lot,” and we discuss here our hopes that he comes back for something else with the franchise as well as how well he handled being at some points characterized. He did not have the best situation, but he still found a way to make the most out of it.

As for some other topics, they include the following:

• How terrible that date with the lie detectors really was, and whether or not there is really anything good that we can say about it.
• Whether or not we find the negative hoopla around Nick to be anything other than manipulative editing.
• Our opinion of Chris and his status as Andi’s “secret admirer.”
• Whether or not we enjoyed most of the time that Andi spent with Cody, even if it had a not-so-pleasant ending as he was sent home in the end.
• Our feelings towards this season as a whole, and whether or not all of the good things about Andi make it easily to overlook some of what we feel to be her deficiencies.
