‘The Bachelorette’ review: Who is Andi Dorfman’s secret admirer?
On Monday night’s “The Bachelorette” episode, we had an answer to a question that at least some people out there may have been curious to find out, and then a lot of other nonsense to go along with.
We have to start here with what was in our mind the main event, and that was the TERRIBLE lie detector test that made us dislike the whole episode. Ridiculously, Brian decided to look at Andi’s results, which made it suddenly feel awkward, especially after she decided not to. This should have never happened in the first place. There was no real reason at all for production to do this, and we don’t blame Josh Murray at all for getting peeved about it. We would be to if we were in his shoes, thinking that all of this trust they were building throughout the experience meant nothing. Chris Soules is the only person who emerged from this okay, and that was thanks mostly to the fact that he was the secret admirer that had been sending her letters.
There isn’t really that much to talk about when it comes to the one-on-one dates. Of course, Nick Viall managed to turn things around for himself with honesty and directness during his date when it comes to some of the things that he had said in the past. Meanwhile, Cody Sattler got sent home directly in the same way that the majority of the other guys in his position do every season.
The Rose Ceremony cost us JJ O’Brien, who now has some more time to go home and work on designing some pants. So, at least JJ can be happy about that, right?
As a whole, we felt like Andi was trying a little too hard to garner sympathy in this episode, just as the guys are looking a little too chummy and have some sort of bizarre, arbitrary rules that they seem to be following about decorum. We enjoyed parts of the episode, but that lie detector just ruined it for us. Grade: D+.
Hopefully, we’ll feel different in the morning when we do our podcast. For now, just click here for a look at what lies next, or here to get more news and updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
