‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8: Kaley Cuoco on possible new look for Penny

Changing styles are a part of life, but that is something that really has not been that part of the equation on “The Big Bang theory” over the years. The main characters, being male geeks, of course have done very little to evolve in terms of the way that they dress, and even Penny, while she has changed some things since the pilot, has not really shaken things up in quite a long time.

Well, there is certainly an opportunity to do that now, given that Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting this summer cut off most of her hair, and is now wearing it in a short pixie cut. Might Penny do the same? The actress certainly hopes so, and said the following to TVLine on the subject:

“I’m hoping Penny will keep the haircut, that’s my goal … The finale wasn’t a ‘To Be Continued,’ so I don’t see any problem with it. People change, people get haircuts, so I think this is a realistic move for Penny. Fingers crossed!”

If the cut is not embraced by production for some reason, then we would imagine that Kaley would be fitted in some sort of wig and she would be the comedy version of Megan Boone in “The Blacklist” or Emilia Clarke from “Game of Thrones.” We’re personally down for a change, though, especially since you already have two other actors on the show in Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik who have long hair. Mixing things up can be fun, and it could also give the characters something else to talk about.
