‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 1 preview: Watch a Sasha Pieterse sneak peek

When “Pretty Little Liars” returns with season 5 on ABC Family June 10, the show will waste very little time at all in addressing one key question: What in the world happens for Alison DiLaurentis now?

Over the past couple of years, the benefit for Ali has been that everyone has thought she was dead. Therefore, nobody was necessarily out there looking for her, or wondering what she was up to. It’s pretty easy to go into hiding when everyone things that you are six feet under.

Now, the new normal for Sasha Pieterse’s character includes having to deal with “A” all over again, now that they are completely aware of the fact that she is alive. You see a fine example of that in the sneak peek below from the premiere “EscApe from New York.” The video at first seems to be innocent enough, but then things change not that long after that courtesy of an all-familiar character in a hood. This is when Ali starts to understandably run.

Will she ever be able to find peace in Rosewood? It is going to be difficult, especially if she gets back with her family and she’s stuck around Jason. Given some of the recent lies that the man has told, we know very well already that there is something shady going on. We just haven’t had the time yet to figure out what that something is. (Hopefully, this is one of the loose ends from season 4 that will be addressed throughout the early part of this season.)
