‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 22 (finale) spoilers: Jane tries to reminisce
“The Mentalist” Sunday night is going to be a strange one, watching an entire case go down while rocking back and forth in our seat, waiting for the answer to the real question almost everyone wants to know right now: Are Jane and Lisbon going to finally get together?
Trying to find a concrete answer to this question is not an easy thing to do … but we at least know that the conversation will come up. It’s just not there in the sneak peek video below. Instead, the focus here is more on Jane trying to do almost everything in his power to convince Lisbon that they should celebrate what could be their final case together … with the emphasis of course there on the word “could.” It all depends on when Jane decides to reveal his feelings for her, and also if he does so in the right way. All it’s going to take is one wrong move here for him, and he potentially screws things up for himself for good.
Given that there is another season left, thought, we have to believe that both Simon Baker and Robin Tunney are going to continue on with the show. So even if for some crazy reason Lisbon decides to go to DC to be with Agent Pike, she must find her way back into Jane’s world in some other way. Otherwise, there is really no further purpose to continue the show. This relationship is one of the few things remaining that the series really has to go on moving forward.

I’m still 50-50 on if Jane and Lisbon will get together.
The show though is about Jane, not his and Lisbon’s relationship so it’s possible for it to continue without Lisbon. Also since the show is about Jane, you know that Baker is going to be there next season.
As much as I would like Jane and Lisbon to get together, I’m still not sold that it will happen. Partly because I can see Jane doing something to mess it up.
