ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, and the new premise
If there is one way to describe the season 3 finale of “Revenge,” it is with a very simple term in “game-changer.” This is the episode that will shift almost everything. For the first time, Victoria will be just as hungry for revenge as Emily is after being committed, and also under the belief that Emily may have killed Pascal. Meanwhile, Emily has her own ax to grind now with what happened to Aiden … though we do still await what sort of crazy emotions will come out of her when she realizes that David Clarke is still alive.
So what is the major goal of the upcoming fourth season? This is a pretty complicated question that is hard to fully answer, but the quote below from showrunner Sunil Nayar to Entertainment Weekly should help to make things clear:
“I think the last three episodes are a really good indication of the sort of tone and the dark and the delicious and the kind of shock that we love. We really want to get into the emotion that drives every single one of these characters. And now that we’ve reached the place where David Clark’s name is cleared and, obviously, David Clark himself is back to clear up a lot of the things that have happened to him in the last 20 years, I think we have the opportunity to change the form of it. Because it’s not going to be about crossing off names on a list of who wronged David Clark. By the same token, Emily now has to deal with the fact that Victoria has killed Aiden and Victoria believes Emily has had a hand in killing Pascal. So each of them has a new mission of revenge that’s very much in the present and one the audience doesn’t have to catch up with because they were there when these things happened. We think the concept of revenge is still vital, but we think we can approach it in different ways.”
There is also another report out here via E! News that the show is set to potentially set to lose another regular between now and when the new season starts, much in the way that they lost Ashley Madekwe. Who could it be, though? That is hard to figure out, given that almost everyone is directly tied to the story now.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, and I know I’m not alone on this: Get rid of Daniel. Pin some crime on the character or something and lock him up for the death of the woman he had a one night stand with. Kill him off, send him to boarding school, Chuck Cunningham Syndrome, I don’t care how to get rid of him, just PLEASE get rid of him. If he was more like Conrad and less of a spoiled playboy whiner, I would love to see him as an antagonist. Or get rid of Charlotte; she barely had a role in season 3 other than the kidnapping. Maybe have Jack move to California with Stevie; I like the guy, but he also barely had a role this season (the best plotline with him was Stevie as his mother).
