‘The Mentalist’ season 6 finale spoilers: Jane, Lisbon, and a gamut of emotions
After seeing some of the first photos for the upcoming season 6 finale of “The Mentalist” entitled “Blue Bird,” we imagine you having a pretty wide range of emotions. There are happy sightings in here, sad sightings, and a rare opportunity to see Lisbon in a very different sort of wardrobe than usual.
In the end, though, there is still one question that everyone wants to know: Is this going to be the hour where Jane and Lisbon finally get together? You’ve had a full six seasons of buildup, which we like to think of as plenty of time for everything in the past to be in the past, and for them to have an opportunity to move forward together.
Of course, there is still a major roadblock that stands in the way of the two parties having the ending that Jane desires so much right now, and his name is Agent Pike. In a way, we feel bad for him, given that he seems like a pretty good guy, and hasn’t done anything to really deserve having his heart smashed. Who knows? We’ll just imagine that he has a true love out there in DC after he moves (hopefully without Lisbon), and maybe he’ll find something there.
The reason that we feel a little bit of sadness right now is merely due to the fact that “The Mentalist” has not been picked up yet for a seventh season, and it’s not looking great that it will be by CBS. This may lead to the studio exploring other options, but we don’t think that the journey for this show is over just yet.

I would feel bad for agent Pike if I wasn’t convinced he already knew what he was getting into when he asked Lisbon out. Yes he asked Wylie about them, but Wylie’s uncertainty in his answer and the fact that Pike thought they might be a thing makes it clear to me that he sensed something. And when he told Lisbon what Casablanca was about it was clear on his face that he knows she is choosing between him and Jane. For all we know he asked for the transfer to try to get her away from Jane. I personally thought it was wrong of him to put his promotion on her shoulders. If she stays he’ll pass it up to stay with her. That is just too much to put on her especially since they have barely started dating.
I really really hope that the writers had Jane and Lisbon end up together. It is torture waiting to find out. I hope us “Jisbons” aren’t disappointed.

I would like to see Jane and Lisbon together at the end, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Since Pike wasn’t in any of the photos that have so far been relased, it makes me wonder if that is because any photo with him in it would point to what will happen in the end. I mean it was said he would be here to the end, so we know he should be in the episode, especially if he is going to propose.
I had originally thought that the bottom photo of Lisbon was her finding out her plans to move were held up because of the case, but since that place seems to do something with the case and Jane is there, my guess is Jane does or says something she doesn’t like.
I still think Lisbon ends up with Pike. The only way I see at this point Lisbon and Jane ending up together is if Lisbon realizes she really wants to be with Jane and does something because to me it seems clear by the picture of Jane outside that door crying that he probably isn’t going to say how he feels.
I know it sounds mean and rude, but if anyone does deserve to have their heart broken it Pike, I mean overall he has this feel that he just rushed into the relationship with Lisbon and never really thought about his feelings or how she could really be feeling. (I mean if it was me and I knew that she may have feelings about something that she can’t say to me then I’d start to think that maybe the relationship could be doomed.) Now that doesn’t of course mean that they won’t end up together, just something I picked up on. (Wow I just had a case of Deja Vu writtng that.)
