ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 20: One last look at Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, ‘That 70’s Show’

Castle -Over the past several weeks, we’ve given you almost everything that we can about the next new episode of “Castle” entitled “That 70’s Show” … with the emphasis here on “almost.” We have one final look below that comes from our friends at CTV in Canada, and it features a little sliver of addition good stuff from Castle, Beckett, and the cast as they flash back to the 1970s.

The new footage in here is mostly further insight as to how Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters really managed to pull off the delusion that this is the 1970s. This is the only way that they were going to be able to get their key witness at the center of an investigation to speak is by presenting the delusion. This entire ploy apparently involved getting Martha involved, and the promo suggests that one person who did not completely sign off on this was Captain Gates. That’s a shame, since she could have been a fine addition to the group sporting the old-school get-ups.

Whatever happens here is almost assured to be tied up over the course of this hour. This entire idea is pretty fun and rather silly, but it’s not something that would be particularly effective if it was pushed on to any great lengths beyond this hour. All we want is an engaging caper, some more fun costumes, and a reason to laugh. There will be some more serious episodes down the road for people who watch “Castle” for that sort of thing.
