ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Will Victoria finally learn the truth?
“Revenge” has spent the past three seasons really dancing around one issue, and it’s a big one: Whether or not Emily Thorne is ever going to be found out by the Grayson family for who she really is. Any longtime fan knows the story already: She’s really Amanda Clarke, and she is in the Hamptons to avenge those who ruined her father and destroyed her life.
At this point, we’ve become advocates of the notion that it really is time to just let the cat out of the bag already. How much further mileage can you really get out of a particular storyline? There doesn’t really seem to be anything else that you can get out of the situation the way that it is.
Luckily, it does feel like there is some relief on the horizon. Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Sunil Nayar had the following to say about the possibility of Victoria putting together all of the pieces to the puzzle before this batch of episodes comes to a close:
“Victoria is getting close … That very question is the point we’re racing towards at the end of the season.”
We see the future of “Revenge” this way: The ratings are not great, but the syndication prospects are probaby good enough at this point for the show to be renewed for another season. With that in mind, we hope that the fourth season is on a different playing field, with the stakes even higher for Emily now that it is known who she really is.
