‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 20 preview: The latest April / Jackson argument

What's next? -On Thursday night’s new “Grey’s Anatomy” episode, there are many story threads that need to be taken care of. This includes the question about whether or not Cristina can find it within herself to move forward, and also whether or not Jackson and April can start to resolve some problems that really should have been tackled before they were married.

We’re of course talking here about religion. April is a devout Christian, while Jackson doesn’t seem to believe in anything other than medicine. (No Flying Spaghetti Monster here!) In the sneak peek below, the two parties take each other to task over it, and Jackson eventually ends up proclaiming that her religion is “stupid.” If Jackson was on YouTube comment threads more often, he would know that there is nothing worse than calling someone’s beliefs “stupid.” This is going to come back to bite him in a pretty significant way in the drama department.

We’re fine with seeing more of these two fight, but the last thing we want at this point is another divorce and to see these two become the latest chapter of Cristina and Owen. There’s already enough of that level of angst on the show; what we like to refer to these two as instead as the sort of people who really should have been doing more talking about this sort of thing before they decided to walk down the aisle. Or, add a provision into a contract somewhere saying that they have to respect each other’s beliefs. So long as April refuses to accept him, and he continues to look at her religion as inferior, there is going to be conflict … and we’re getting tired of seeing the same ol’ story play out.
