ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 finale spoilers: New images of Kerry Washington, Katie Lowes

The “Scandal” finale Thursday night has the potential to be huge. It’s just about at election day for the Grant campaign, and that means that the time for answers for one Olivia Pope could be here … if she’s so lucky. What is she going to do to keep her life afloat, will Fitz stay President, and can B613 finally camp itself down? These are three things that we are in particular excited to get answers from.

Unfortunately, the photos released by ABC show very little other than the fact that Olivia Pope is distressed, which is basically the same sort of emotion that she shows the majority of the time. We do hope that there is eventually some equilibrium shown off here for the character, even if it is not coming in this episode. (She’s got some other important stuff to take care of…)

So while Olivia may be the focus of everything, don’t be shocked if Quinn ends up being the darkhorse of the episode. Her story, in between joining B613, making out with Huck, and having to deal with Charlie, has been building to something. She could be one to dismantle some dangerous extensions of the organization … at least if she isn’t too desperate as it is to just get the [bleep] out of there. At this point, we wouldn’t blame her if she just wanted to high-tail it to Olivia Pope and Associates.

We know that most of these characters are pretty awful people, but the one thing we’re still hoping for from this episode is that it gives us a chance to be a little emotional and reflective on the past 18 episodes. That will allow “Scandal” to rise even further above its network competition.
