‘Bones’ season 9, episode 21 preview: Booth, Brennan, and the future

The title above may be somewhat vague when it comes to a teaser for the next new episode of “Bones,” but in a way, it makes sense given the somewhat-cloudy nature of the story that is coming up Monday night.

What we can tell you is this: Booth is potentially up for a new promotion that could mean great things for his career. Unfortunately for him, it also carries with it the caveat of possibly causing problems for his family. It would uproot most of the life that they already had, and bring about a substantial amount of change. Sometimes, change can be a good thing since it opens the doors for so many other new and exciting opportunities.

However, there are also some other times when change can be a pretty terrible thing. Take, for example, the fact that Both and Brennan have spent so much of their relationship working together. Even when they were not romantic with each other, they were still partners. It’s a scary thing going away from that suddenly, since you start to wonder whether or not their relationship would suffer from the lack of time that they’re spending together.

As for the rest of this episode, expect to see both a case that really stretches back a few years, and also another romantic storyline as Cam has to meet Arastoo’s parents. This can always be nerve-wrecking and awkward for anyone involved. While this episode may not have any substantial shockers in it, there are only a few installments left, and you therefore have to think that the story will pick up soon.
