‘Big Brother Canada 2’ interview: Andrew Gordon on Canada, First Five, and Allison

Andrew Gordon -Thursday night’s “Big Brother Canada 2” episode may have been a bit predictable, but it did lead to an important elimination when it comes to the game. Andrew Gordon was a pretty huge player every minute that he was in the house; he had a great alliance in the First Five, a showmance with Allison, and the physical strength to go all the way in the game.

Unfortunately for him, he had a finish that rings to mind Jessie Godderz: The viewing public turned on him, and thanks to that, he found himself evicted before he probably would have been otherwise. In that sense, he was probably screwed over; however, he also made the mistake of thinking in this game that Canada was not going to be involved the way that they were, and he paid the consequences in the end. You have to know that something like this could happen on this show, and watching what you say is important.

Canada’s involvement in the game is one of many things that we spoke with Andrew about during a conference call this morning.

CarterMatt – Canada was obviously involved in your exit, but they had a big part in the game. There were times when this didn’t seem to be on your mind or some of the other players’ minds. Is this something that you would warn players about [in the future]?

Andrew Gordon – If I could advice to anticipate things that you absolutely cannot anticipate, I would certainly give advice for that. However, it’s just difficult to really monitor the way that you are when you are on-camera 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s a situation built to make you feel like you are comfortable.

I will give you credit that before this twist went down, you were playing a pretty good game. So had the first five made it further, and even made it to the final five, what would you have done? Would you go to the end with Kenny, even if he was a bigger threat [to win]?

I think certain things about me are shown that are not necessarily about gameplay. I absolutely would’ve liked to go to final two with Kenny. Not only because I made the pact with him at the beginning, but he’s an awesome guy and while it may be more difficult competing against him, I’d be more willing to run that risk.

Where did Allison fit in to all of this? She wasn’t in the First Five, but I know as time goes by that personal feelings get mixed in with strategy.

You know, they definitely do. I’d still stick to my First Five alliance; I have since the beginning. I think where I left off with Allison, had things not gone this way, I would’ve taken her as far as I could have. At the final six, with her being the sixth, it’d be a situation that I would have had to figure out at that time. It’s really hard to speculate right now.
