‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15, episode 19 preview: A new video, synopsis

Law & Order: SVU logoTonight, “Law & Order: SVU” returns with all-new episodes, but before you get an opportunity to watch the story entitled “Downloaded Child,” we have a few more teases for you now. This is a story that is going to more of the traditional route for the show, and it is wedged between two that are a little more of the “event” variety: The first story directed by Mariska Hargitay, and then also the upcoming return of William Lewis.

In case you want some specifics of what is going to be a hard episode for some out there to watch (which can be the case often with this show on the basis of content), take a look at the synopsis below:

“Single mom Jenny Aschler (guest star Meghann Fahy) is arrested for child endangerment. Not trusting anyone to take care of her young daughter Maddie (guest star Ella Anderson), she instead leaves her home alone for days. Jenny’s fierce motherly instincts and fear of men leads Sergeant Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to suspect she may have been a victim of child abuse. With help from Dr. Lindstrom (guest star Bill Irwin), Jenny recovers deeply repressed memories of violence, rape and neglect.”

There is also a small video preview that gives you a small sense of the drama ahead, but there is actually just as much Lewis footage in here as anything else. Still, it gives you a reason to be intrigued by what comes ahead, as you wonder whether or not Benson can get out of this with any further emotional scarring.
