“Scandal” has somehow found a way to be a network show that feels very much like a cable show … at least when it comes to its castings. Somehow, they are able to keep the names of their guest stars under wraps weeks after the film, and only reveal them days before their episode airs.
We saw this last time around when we first learned about Olivia Pope’s mom, and this time, that is happening with Sebastian Roche. The actor, known for his work on “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” as Mikael along with “Supernatural,” confirmed the news in a post on Twitter.
As for who Roche is playing, the only clue that was seemingly provided is that he seems to have worked with Guillermo Diaz … which probably doesn’t bode that well for him. Generally, though, we say this about anyone who is forced into Huck’s life. Usually, they are not around for very long, and that’s because he has either angered them or killed them.
There’s not much time left for Roche’s character to do damage, given that we are just a few episodes away from the end. “Scandal” will be renewed for a fourth season pending some enormous shocker, but you’re not going to get any further answers on what lies ahead until at the earliest September. Let’s hope the next few answers give us all of the answers that we really need until then. (We’ll have some more teases soon on the finale, so be on the lookout for that.)
