‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, episode 15 review: Did Jaime King’s Lemon make a choice?

What is she up to? -For its second episode since moving to Friday night, “Hart of Dixie” brought you what was ultimately a pretty funny hour of TV in “Ring of Fire.” This story had quite a few  little wrinkles to it, but above all, capitalized on doing what the show does best: Bringing some Southern fun to the screen. We never take it that seriously, which is probably why we are able to overlook the fact that there are times when nothing really stays that close to the lines of realism.

For example, how in the world did a goat get stolen twice from the same Renaissance Faire? This won one of the more random moments of the night, as Wade wanted to ensure that Vivian’s son felt okay about the little animal not getting made into stew.

But the bigger story of this episode was Lemon trying to ensure that she found a way to choose between Carter and Enrique, and over time, she grew so desperate for another force to come into play that she decided to allow Lavon’s crazy idea of them battling it out in a tournament to win her heart. The entire notion of the idea was silly, but very fun to watch play out as Meatball talked them out of going through with the medieval fight to try to have Jaime King’s character to himself. Then, Lavon stepped into play, and Lemon decided that she was better off single.

In the end, though, the biggest shocker of all during this episode was the reveal that Joel is not going to be with Zoe anymore in BlueBell. Thanks to his book being sold into a movie, he will be heading over to Los Angeles to live that life. While he and Zoe are still together, it’s hard to say if things will continue to stay good for the two of them. Grade: B+.
