‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: A new guide to upcoming episode titles

What's coming up? -Slowly and surely, we are getting near the end of “Supernatural” season 9. In just a matter of just over 24 hours, the episode directed by Misha Collins entitled “Mother’s Little Helper” will air. From there on out, the names of most of the episodes were a mystery … at least until now.

We now have a rough guide of most of the episodes coming up, including the big backdoor pilot for the “Supernatural: Bloodlines” spin-off that everyone has been looking forward to seeing. These episode titles are as always subject to change (given that they have been swapped out at the last minute before), and they come to us courtesy of SpoilerTV.

Episode 9×19, “Alex Annie Alexis Ann” (April 22) – This almost feels like some sort of numerical sequence, except with names. Are we getting an episode about clones here? This is the most interesting title ahead, but also the most ambiguous.

Episode 9×20, “Bloodlines” (April 29) – The backdoor pilot for the spin-off show, set in Chicago and featuring a variety of different characters. You can see the entire cast at this link. If The CW likes what they see, then odds are they’ll pick it up. It’s not a guarantee, and we don’t feel as confident about it as we did the “Arrow’ spin-off “The Flash,” which is already more of an established property.

Episode 9×21, “King of the Damned” (May 6) – Is this a Crowley episode? It certainly sounds like it based on the title alone. He’s been fighting to reclaim his title as king, and the one person who has been squarely in the way so far is Abaddon.

Episode 9×22, “Stairway to Heaven” (May 13) – Meanwhile, this sounds more like an hour that could serve to resolve one of the season’s other major plots: Whether or not the angels can reclaim Heaven after Metatron conquered it at the end of last season.
