‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: Could Howard return to space?
The title above is pretty self-explanatory, but does the idea of Howard returning to space on “The Big Bang Theory” excite you? The obvious benefit of such a story is that it allows the show to try some new things, and it continues to allow the character to have something to wave in Sheldon’s face as he routinely tries to put himself on another level than the rest of the gang.
However, is there still a drawback to this? Sure. Not only could Howard going back to space end up making the story for the show disjointed (it mostly did the first time), but it could cause more issues for his relationship with Bernadette. These are the topics covered during the February 27 episode “The Table Polarization,” which also, at least according to a CBS press release, is going to raise some interesting questions about if Sheldon can eat anywhere other than his signature table:
“Leonard buys a dining room table and it causes Sheldon to reevaluate the changes in his life. Meanwhile, Wolowitz is offered a chance to go back to space and Bernadette struggles with whether or not to encourage him.”
For those of you curious about guest stars, this episode is going to feature the return of Casey Sander, playing once again the role of Bernadette’s father. Also, get ready to see more of Howard’s mother (at least in the form of her voice), and also another appearance for the first time in over a year from real-life astronaut Michael Massimino. Let it be known that it is very much awesome that “The Big Bang Theory” actually is able to bring someone on board who is more than just trained in the profession; he’s actually experienced what life is like in space.
