‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: What did you take from ‘Fire and Ice: A Foreshadowing’?
You have to love a network that has a preview special for a show that is still a little less than two months away from airing. Basically, HBO managed to find a way to turn 15 minutes of teasers and conversation into a TV event with their “Game of Thrones” special “Fire and Ice: A Foreshadowing.”
Was this worthwhile viewing? It is all going to come down to what your interpretation of that is. We feel like given the fact that this is a pretty non-competitive night of television, and there is really not that much else on worth talking about other than the Olympics and the premiere of “The Walking Dead,” it was reasonably entertaining. You got to see a little bit of new footage, some interviews, and an assortment of reminders that no show out there really does “epic” quite like this one does. This is a show that manages to completely blow the roof off at almost every chance that it can … even if you have seen the show before.
All in all, this was a nice little special for us to serve as a hearty appetizer for the new season. After watching it, we do very much feel now like we are more excited than ever to see what is going to be coming up the rest of the way. (If you want to check out more, take a look at the video below).
