‘Supernatural’ season 9: All about Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, filming, and PCAs
While we are still a little over a week and a half away from seeing more “Supernatural” season 9 on the air, it’s never to late to talk a little bit about some assorted odds and ends related to the show, right?
What you may be curious to hear about first and foremost is that there is some work beginning again on the series in the morning! One of the show’s co-executive producers confirmed this in a post on Twitter today, as he was responding to a message from “Once Upon a Time” star Jennifer Morrison about how she was being forced to get up at some horrendous hour to start filming new scenes for her show again.
What makes this week even busier for the “Supernatural” family is that Wednesday night marks the People’s Choice Awards, where they have been nominated a number of times in the past. As a matter of fact, the show has been nominated again many times this year along with Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins in various forms … but as of right now, none of them are on the list to attend and it is likely to stay that way. Misha did post a pretty funny reason as to why he is not going to be stopping by on his Twitter account, just in case you were really going to be bummed by his absence:
“I would’ve attended @peopleschoice awards this week, but they said i’d have to ‘wear clothing this time’… I just can’t sell out like that.”
So the PCAs this year could be a little less fun, mostly because this is one of the awards programs that really does acknowledge shows that don’t get a lot of recognition elsewhere; but then again, a caveat is that while this show is happening, new episodes will be created for our enjoyment! Plus, Jared just welcomed a new addition to his family, and we’re sure this is a pretty busy time for him. Hopefully, all three of the guys we’ve mentioned here will get a chance to attend next year, since this is a fandom that we certainly trust to vote them back in again as nominees.

I will be watching even if they aren’t there because they could be presented with an award and they can still be seen by there fans accepting it. It is a silly reason not to watch an award show just because someone you like isn’t on it. Maybe they will surprise everyone and show up anyways.. Aren’t they crazy enough to do that?

This show is ruined by its bizarre fans who want Sam and Dean not only to be homosexual, but have sexual feelings for one another.! Or if not for each, then for the angel Castiel. Jensen Ackles is a Christian and he’s expressed his disdain for this-and for the veil the homosexuals are casting over our eyes! I love this show and Jensen! The homosexuals need to be put in their place. Bravo to the SCOTUS for their decision in Utah!

Why do some of you act like you know anything about these people? How do you know what Jensen’s beliefs about anything are? To my knowledge, he’s never expressed what his religious views are, nor has he ever said he disliked homosexuals. What he has shown disdain for is people trying to push shipping, NOT gay and lesbian people. As for his religious beliefs, he’s been plenty vulgar in gag reels. Doesn’t come across as a right-wing Christian to me, although I’m sure he has nothing against Christians.
If you are against same sex marriage, then I suggest you don’t marry someone of the same sex. But why don’t you stop trying to infringe on other people’s rights.

I wouldn’t want the show to start following the shipping stuff the fans create (doesn’t matter whether its a gay couple or not), because that’s what fan fiction is for. Please keep it at that. I’m glad the show never has made any of it “canon” and I hope they never will. The writers are there for a cause, to write and make a show that we *follow*; they’re not there to make fanfiction on TV.
However, besides this point, the rest of your message is trash.

I dont think Misha would have been invited any way. He was nominated as part of the Sam/Dean/Cas collective which probably isnt an award that they would bother showing on tv anyway. Also I kind of think SPN nominated in that catergory is a bit of a joke. Jared and Jensen would have been invited had they won best drama or one of them picked up best actor but seems that if the show did win an award it will only be the less importnat of the 3 hence no invite.

I’m not planning to watch the PCA’s now, since their only attraction, for me, is the possibility of seeing Jensen, Jared, and Misha. If they’re not attending, I’m not watching. I do hope Supernatural wins something, though. It’s the best show on TV and is too often overlooked for, in my view, lesser quality programs and the casts of said programs.
