ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 10 video: Emily VanCamp and a surprising threat

As you may know already as a devoted fan of “Revenge,” Sunday night is going to mark the end for the final portion of season 3. This is an opportunity to learn who shoots Emily, and also what sort of path the show travels down for the 12 episodes that are still to come starting up in the new year.

But before we turn to that, there is a conflict that arises for Emily before her wedding day even starts: Lydia Davis, trying to do just about everything that she can in an effort to ensure that life is as hard as humanly possible. Using the age-old technique known as blackmail, Lydia decides that it would be a good idea to go to Emily and tell her that she wants her old house back, since she otherwise is going to spill plenty of information that suggests that she is far from the person that she claims to be.

Doesn’t it seem to anyone else like Emily is giving in to these demands a little too easily? We have to believe so, just as we personally believe that everything that is being said here is going to come back to haunt Lydia in a pretty substantial way. It always does. But for the time being, Emily has other priorities, with the major one being trying to ensure in any way possible that she can marry Daniel, and nothing stands in the way of the two having their “desired ending” … which really of course just means Emily finding a way to fake her own death and blame Victoria for it. Drama!
