‘The Tomorrow People’ episode 8 review: Jedikiah gathers a ton of information
If there is one way that we could definitely describe the episode of “The Tomorrow People” that aired on The CW Wednesday night, it is watching Jedikiah basically sitting around, being tormented, and then finding a way to get out of it alive. He turned around happened almost in the blink of an eye, but in the process of him working his way out of the Tomorrow People lair, we did at least get an opportunity to learn a few more things about him.
The first major “shocker” is that John has an even larger connection to Stephen than anyone at the moment really understands. This is a guy who was actually responsible for killing off our leading man’s father. Will Stephen learn the truth about this? Probably in time, and he will likely stir up even more trouble as a result. But for now, this remains one of John’s many terrible secrets. This is a guy who is starting to turn lying into a way of life.
As for shocker #2, it is simply that Cara has now outed herself as still being a Tomorrow Person, which of course translates to big trouble for Stephen. The truth is out there! While it may seem that this truth was covered up with a convenient excuse, we’ll see how long that lasts.
More than anything else, we are just glad that this episode put forth the sort of effort that it really needed to move the story ahead a week before the fall finale. We really feel like things are pushing in a direction, and there is no stopping it. With that being said, where was Astrid this week? There was also so much in the world of superheroes that it is easy to forget that Stephen is at least still trying to live out a normal life. Grade: B-.
