‘The Tomorrow People’ episode 8 preview: A kidnapping, and Stephen’s quest for information

The Tomorrow People -At this point, you have probably realized that there is no new episode of “The Tomorrow People” airing on The CW. Therefore, you are having to sit around and deal the long, sometimes-arduous in-season task of waiting around for the next new episode to air. Hiatuses can be frustrating, but luckily, this one is only lasting a week before the show returns for more.

The December 4 episode carries with it the title of “Thanatos,” which is basically a reference to a god or demon of non-violent death in Greek mythology. The show’s clearly going for that symbolism route with this one. The preview below suggests that there could actually be quite a bit of death coming up, at least in that the Tomorrow People have made the bold move to capture Jedikiah, and it is all part of an elaborate plan in which he hopes to figure out what happened to his father. There was that surprising scene that we saw last week, and that is potentially setting up something pretty shocking this time.

You can see a few more details in the synopsis below for what looks to be a pretty action-heavy hour of TV:

“Stephen (Robbie Amell) is determined to uncover what he hopes is the key to finding his father, and crafts a plan with the Tomorrow People that involves getting inside Jedikiah’s (Mark Pellegrino) head. Meanwhile, Cara (Peyton List) and Russell (Aaron Yoo) encounter an uninvited visitor in the subway tunnel base. Stephen takes a risky opportunity and snoops around Ultra.”

At this point, though, we’re also much more curious about some stuff that is not related to the Ultra story at all. For example, what’s next for Stephen and Astrid? This seems to be one of those situations where the show wants to ship our male lead and Cara, but the fans will be much more interested in him with his best friend. That is something interesting to watch develop, especially when it comes to seeing what the fan reaction is.
