‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Greek’ alum to play ‘new’ character in second half
During Sunday night’s midseason finale of “The Walking Dead,” it is pretty easy to make the assumption that we are finally going to have that long-awaited showdown between The Governor’s new camp and Rick’s group at the prison … or at least that is what this past episode seemed to be suggesting. It’s going to be both violent and rather surprising; not only that, but there is going to be at least one familiar character that will die. (We’ll be weighing the odds on who the likely candidates will be a little later in the week.)
The story that we have for you today comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, who claims that “Greek” alum Andrew J. West is going to be appearing in a major role in the second half of the season. The only details are that this is a guy who is original to the series, but also is a “remix” of sorts from at least one character from the Robert Kirkman comic series. This is hardly a new move for the show, but it does at least appear that they will be tied to the comic more than characters like Daryl or Milton have been.
The second half of “The Walking Dead” this season already has the arrival of another major character in Abraham, who is being played by “Southland” alum Michael Cudlitz. This means an opportunity for the show to push forward into what is another important era from the comics, and also hopefully cultivate some new surprises. Given that the show already has both the virus and The Governor storylines going in full force, we imagine that at least one of these two stories will be sticking around come February. Also, remember that Carol’s journey on the show is also not over.
What do you think about this casting, and what comic character do you think that this man is going to emulate? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below!

I have never seen a program on TV where I hated the evil character more than this scumy low-life Governor. The day he is exterminated I will rejoice!
