‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen (a.k.a. The Flash) arrives

The latest -Are you a big-time fan of The Flash? Then in just two weeks (thanks mostly to the Thanksgiving holiday for the delay), you are going to get the opportunity to watch one of the most exciting episodes of “Arrow” to date. While “The Scientist” may be more about Barry Allen than his superhero alter-ego, it is going to be a great opportunity to find out about him, and the near-instant relationship that he’s going to form with Felicity Smoak.

After an episode like “State v. Queen” that had so much drama from start to finish, we feel like it is going to be rather nice to change things up here with a little bit of a different story. If you want to read more, just take a look at the full synopsis:

“A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured.”

The promo below hypes up Barry’s appearance as a component in an epic two-part midseason finale, where you are going to get an opportunity to see the guy in action, and what sort of pre-existing relationship he and Felicity actually have. It’s unfortunate that the promo really doesn’t give you anything more than just a few words from Grant Gustin.

Are you excited to see this “Arrow” episode, even more so than any other this year? Share your thoughts below! Also, click here if you’re curious in taking a look at the mask that Oliver is going to be wearing a little bit later on this season.
