‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: More on big story for Pauley Perrette’s Abby
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the episode, showrunner Gary Glasberg was relatively vague; but, he at least teased some of the characters that are going to be involved:
“It’s an Abby-centric story. So it’s Abby and Carol [Meredith Eaton] and Palmer really focused in the lab to try to focus on what’s going on [with the outbreak].”
In case you have not heard about the other story yet (which was teased weeks ago), there is also going to be a story in here all about Vance, who is spending his first-ever holiday season without his wife around. That is almost sure to be a tear-jerker, but at the same time, we’re sure that the rest of the team is going to find a way to make him feel very much loved. That’s what these “NCIS” folks have shown themselves to be capable of time and time again: Love. It’s also the first Christmas on the show for new character Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), who received mostly favorable reviews in her debut Tuesday night.
It almost goes without saying, but this episode is going to be the last one for the show prior to the holidays, but “NCIS” will be back with more new episodes pretty early on into January. The show really has to cram some of its run in early when compared to other shows, since there is that little period in March where the NCAA tournament forces it off the schedule.
