‘America’s Got Talent’ 2014: Nick Cannon, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B. to return
In just ta matter of two days, the entire roster for “America’s Got Talent” has decided to make it official: They are coming back for another year on the NBC show.
The show confirmed it themselves on Wednesday, saying that Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B., and host Nick Cannon will be back for a season 9. Cannon is the longest-tenured member of the show having been around since season 4, and the rest of the panel was not even around for the Piers Morgan days. (We still don’t think that Piers gets enough credit for being an entertaining judge on the show.)
This news comes just one day after Howard Stern confirmed that he will be back for his third (and maybe last?) season on the show, which is something that he has enjoyed being a part of as of late. It allows him to have another job in addition to his radio show, and we’re sure that the hefty amount of money that he earns for the gig also is a nice little added bonus.
Given all of the turnover that “America’s Got Talent” has experienced over the years, we’re rather thrilled to see that everyone here is staying put. Save for maybe “The Voice,” this is really the only other talent competition that has made a four-judge panel work, and this group overall seems to understand that when the dust settles, this show is all about fun. It really doesn’t matter too much if you get a winner who goes on to sell albums or tour around the country (if they aren’t a singer), but that definitely helps. We’re coming off of the best winner the show has ever seen in Kenichi Ebina, and we are still hoping that he will someday get to design an immersive Las Vegas show where his vision can come completely to life. The good thing about his talent is that it exists beyond just his ability to dance on stage.
Are you happy for this news, or do you think that “AGT” as a whole is the sort of show that is well past its expiration date? We want to hear some of your thoughts below!

Howie WAS a judge during some of the Piers Morgan years (seasons 5 and 6) and since Nick joined in season 4, so was he.
