‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Details on arrival of Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen / The Flash
When it The Flash going to be appearing on “Arrow” season 2? In case you have not heard this information yet, the date is going to be Wednesday, December 4. This is the first of a few appearances from a man who will start off on the show as scientist Barry Allen, which helps to explain why this episode is going to be entitled “The Scientist” in the first place. (No, it is not a reference to the Coldplay song.)
There are quite a few little hints when it comes to the story out there already, including that Barry and Felicity Smoak are going to be close almost immediately … which is something that Oliver Queen quickly takes notice of. (Yes, that means more goodness for Olicity fans!) with this being said, we imagine that there are still a few surprises in the official synopsis below that you may not have heard about beforehand:
A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured.”
So in the end, almost every important character this season is going to be featured in this episode … with the exception of really every member of the Lance family. Is the tale of Laurel and the Canary dying down somewhat? We didn’t see Katie Cassidy at all in this past episode, and we only saw Caity Lotz appear during flashbacks. (While they may not be in the forefront, don’t worry: We know that Lotz is going to appear just just about every episode the rest of the fall, even if it is just on the island rather than in present-day Starling City.)
Is this the “Arrow” episode that you are really excited to see, and how do you want to see Oliver react to the sudden Barry / Felicity chemistry? Share your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to check out a preview video for this upcoming episode.
