‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 8 preview: ‘A Red Wheelbarrow,’ and finding Brody’s innocence
Is there a way in which to prove the Nicholas Brody was not responsible for the death of all of those people at Langley? This is going to be the primary focus of “A Red Wheelbarrow,” which is the eighth episode of “Homeland” season 3 premiering next week. Even though Damian Lewis has spent most of this season as a persona non grata, Carrie Mathison has still remained steadfast in doing just about everything that she can in order to prove that he is not the man the majority of America thinks he is.
But just how far is she willing to go in order to make it happen? This will be the focus of “A Red Wheelbarrow,” the episode of the show airing on Showtime next week. Based on the full synopsis, there is certainly a look to look forward to seeing:
“Carrie and Quinn pursue a key suspect in the Langley bombing; Saul contends with political backlash; the intelligence job takes a toll on Fara; the Brody family gets shocking news.”
But are Carrie and Quinn going to eventually be at odds in their pursuits? It certainly feels like it, based at least on the promo below. The promo below teases that Quinn may be in need of firing a shot against Carrie’s best wishes, mostly because Claire Danes’ character has this nasty habit of doing things when she really has no business doing. She’s the best CIA agent out there, but she’s got this big blind spot named “Brody” that continually finds a way to get her in trouble.
While you may say that this season has not always had a clear direction, things are starting to heat up now. With only a handful of episodes left now before the conclusion of the season, there is only one direction that the story can really go from here (unless of course it bombs out and makes us want to toss tomatoes at the screen).
