‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Early hype for the 100th episode
For any series to make it to 100 episodes has to be an achievement worth celebrating. When you think about it, broadcast TV is more of a competitive fighting ground than ever before not just to get your show on the air, but to keep it there and relevant and exciting. There are so many little things that can get in the way and cause problems, and it is almost a blessing when a show comes a long that finds a way to survive in the middle of all of the madness.
But not only has “The Vampire Diaries” done it, but they have also been able to flourish as almost the crown jewel of The CW’s lineup. This is the show that most other shows that are on the network right now really strive to be, as it has so much going for it from the standpoint of action, romance, drama, and the sort of fan following that could in theory keep it around for a hundred more.
While the cast is pretty tight-lipped on the story for this key episode right now, we’ll at least let the following tease from Olga Fonda (Nadia) via E! News give you the impression that there are some pretty interesting things in the works:
“Well I can tell you one thing. I can tell you that episode is going to be amazing. It’s going to be great. It’s going be exciting. I can guarantee you that the 100th episode is going to be amazing. It’s very strong and the TVD fans are going to be very happy.”
Fonda has been a part personally already of one of the most surprising twists in the entire series’ history, as there were not too many people out there who were able to predict accurately that Katherine of all people would have some sort of daughter floating around out there. But, she does, and that story is going to carry the entire group a few more weeks into the season at least. We know that Fonda will be around for the big episode, which will air early next year.
