‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Paul Wesley’s Silas’ shocking proclamation
After being alive for thousands of years, is Silas about ready to drop the curtain? Based on the preview below for next week’s “Vampire Diaries” episode, that certainly feels like the case. If all of his plans were set up just for him to die, why didn’t that just happen tonight? Instead, that didn’t happen, and what we were left with was an hour that was all about a number of other shockers including Katherine getting her blood drawn, and also her finding out that she has a daughter in Nadia from her days as a human in Bulgaria centuries ago.
Next week’s episode is entitled “Handled with Care,” and in addition to Silas’ proclamation in the promo, the synopsis teases quite a bit of drama ahead:
“Silas (Paul Wesley) happily announces his new goal to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev), but they are skeptical when he promises to accomplish one important task in return for their help. Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) confidently tells Stefan (Paul Wesley) about her next move, then realizes that Silas has managed to outsmart her. A desperate Katherine (Nina Dobrev) discovers a new and unexpected consequence of becoming human again, and realizes she needs a new place to stay. In exchange for a spot in the dorm room, she offers to show Caroline (Candice Accola) how to get answers from Dr. Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett). Bonnie (Kat Graham) is touched by Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) strength and determination to stand by her. Finally, Damon is stunned when he figures out the secret to Tessa’s plan.”
Probably one of the more overlooked stories right now comes in relation to the Caroline character, and what happens for her next now that she is seemingly single. Is Tyler going to head to “The Originals” to get revenge on Klaus? His path is mysterious, but Caroline now has to figure out whether or not she can move forward and really be happy in school.
