‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: See a pair of possible Joe Carroll minions
Let’s set the stage for “The Following” season 2: Even if Joe Carroll is really dead (which we doubt), Ryan Hardy is still going to have his work cut out for him. Even though Kevin Bacon’s character is going to seemingly start off this season in a somewhat-better place than he was in throughout all of last season, we have to wonder just how long that is going to last.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at who are a pair of new potential foes that are going to be facing off with Ryan and the FBI at some point during the upcoming season. According to E! News, the following two characters are going to be rearing their heads at some point in the upcoming weeks.
1. Julia – Described as a “Lady Macbeth” type and a “femme fatale” who is a master of deception that can make you think one thing about her, and then kill you moments later. Certainly not the kind to be messed with in any way.
2. Micah – An unstable psychopath (are there any other kind?), which basically reminds us of the TV version of Trevor from “Grand Theft Auto V.” Granted, this character would never be able to get away with the same sort of stuff as Trevor does in the video game.
Both of these characters will be around for more than one episode of the series, which is set to premiere on Fox come Monday, January 20. Like with season 2, the plan for the show is to air all of its episode in succession, that way there is a consistent story and no questions as to when the next one will air. James Purefoy is indeed set to return in some shape or form, and judging from what Ryan says in the first teaser for the new season, he is still of the belief that the character is alive.
