‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 6: Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giduice hope for peace
Is “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” season 6 going to continue to be somewhat like a less-fun version of “Family Feud”? Not if Melissa Gorga has her way. After witnessing three straight seasons of almost constant fighting, the goal now appears to be actually trying to close the book on the negative, transition forward to the positive, and create an environment where some of those old habits of yelling and throwing around accusations at each other no longer happens.
As for whether or not this is something that can actually happen, our guess right now leans more towards “doubtful” based mostly on what we have seen from her already. But, we’ll at least take what Melissa wrote in her Bravo blog recently as a step that she wants the relationship to stay in a positive direction (and at least starting down that road is half the battle):
“Teresa and I are in a good spot and we want to remain that way. Would love for the fans and other people in our lives to see that and stay positive for us. I’m proud of our family. We have managed to move past the issues that were hurting us so much and are still working hard to never go back to that negative place again.”
If these two ladies are both going to stay on the show moving forward, we really don’t think there is any other way that the show can function other than the two of them getting along. It’s the sort of thing that happens when viewers see the same thing play out time and time again; eventually, they are going to start to demand a change, and what is fun for a season or so (near-constant fighting) does not remain so much fun after that. If Teresa and Melissa can get along, and if the reported new women can bring a different sort of energy and drama, then we would be looking at a season that really could be a game-changer of sorts.
We’ve got the latest updates on the current casting decisions made here for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” including whether or not Kathy Wakile is going to be around in a major capacity moving forward.
