‘MasterChef Junior’ preview: Celebrate Halloween, and prepare for the finale (video)
There is only one episode left of “MasterChef Junior” before the first-season finale is here, and we are going to see all sorts of chaos and other fun stuff take place. This show is all about finding the best of the best, and these kids are really going to be getting a crash course here in just what it takes in order to be the best … and it’s quite an arduous task.
As you can see in the promo below, these youngsters are literally going to have to do a similar sort of restaurant takeover that we saw during “MasterChef” proper, which we have a feeling is not going to be an easy thing for them. There is teamwork involved, along with communication, handling pressure, and also cooking ability. At the end of this, only four contestants will remain for the final showdown next week. There’s a little bit of polarity here when you think about it: “MasterChef” proper tends to go on forever in the summer months, whereas this show is over in the blink of an eye. Then again, it makes sense when you have young contestants for there to be a shorter season.
We do sit around and wonder if we could ever see one of these contestants someday on another cooking show, and just what that would be like. We couldn’t see them doing “Hell’s Kitchen” given that knowing Gordon Ramsay previously would be an advantage; meanwhile, we also can’t imagine “MasterChef” proper given that they already know the challenges. If one of them gets on “Top Chef,” we will then be extremely impressed. Alexander is to us the most likely candidate, mostly because he is also the one that we’ve pegged to win since the very start.
Since next week is also Halloween, we also have for you below a little bit of Halloween fun: A recipe for making some pumpkin bread. Think of it as the perfect compliment to what you are doing when carving out some jack-o-lanterns with your family. (If the images are too small, click on them to blow it up.)
