‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 4 preview: Meet the new boss

While we have a feeling that you will feel the need to try and finish the title above with a certain saying, what we have to say right now is this: The new boss that you are going to be meeting here is not the same as the old boss at all. Mateo Cruz will bring a different sort of energy on “Criminal Minds” next week than what we’ve seen on the show so far; not only that, but he also brings with him the sort of background that leads to all sorts of interesting questions being asked.

This new episode airing next week is entitled “To Bear Witness,” and it actually features more than just Cruz’s first appearance on the show; you also have “Once Upon a Time” favorite David Anders turning up for a guest spot as someone that really should be feared. Take a look below at just everything that you can expect:

“The BAU meets their new section chief, Mateo Cruz, who, unbeknownst to them, shares a long work history with JJ. Cruz joins the team as they comb the streets of Baltimore for an UnSub who leaves victims unable to communicate, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, October 16th on CBS. Esai Morales joins in a recurring role as Mateo Cruz, the BAU’s new section chief. David Anders guest stars as Anton Harris.”

This history that is present between Cruz and JJ is something that will not be fully fleshed out on this upcoming episode; we’re going to be seeing quite a bit of it as the show slowly moves forward, especially as we get closer and closer to the big 200th episode spectacular.
