‘Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen’: First promo for show’s eventual return
Last year, we got quite a kick out of watching “Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen.” How much so? The winner of the entire season in Kristen Kish was someone who went into the web series after a surprising elimination during Restaurant Wars, but was able to fight her way back all the way to the end of the season en route to winning. This was the sort of twist that we hate at times, but also love in that it gives us more competition and saves great chefs who are eliminated at bad times. If only this was around back when Kenny went home on season 7 during the same challenge.
Unfortunately, there is no video to share yet for “Top Chef: New Orleans,” and that is because Ramon Bojorquez cannot compete against himself. Next week, another chef will be sent home from the competition, and the two will have an opportunity to square off in a culinary clash where Tom Colicchio determines who stays around to fight again, and who goes home. The beauty of this competition is that in theory, Ramon could go all the way to the end of the season based on his performance here … though it will be very tough.
Sadly, our first “preview” (which will be posted here every Friday the rest of the season) is just of the introductory promo video. There’s not much to see here, except for a reminder that the web series is indeed coming.
Excited? Worried for some of your favorites already? We want to hear all of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you are interested in reading our full review of Wednesday’s premiere, which set quite the swampy tone for the rest of the episodes to come this year. There are many more challenges to come, and thus opportunities for chefs to end up here.
