ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Lisa Edelstein on Stana Katic bond, giving Castle leeway
Monday night’s “Castle” season 6 episode is going to be the second one that features Lisa Edelstein in her role as Agent McCord, a woman who is working alongside Beckett, and showing her the ropes of what it is like to be a part of the federal government. It is an interesting position for sure for the character to be in, given that she is a professional who not only is dealing with a rookie in Kate to this part of law enforcement, but also has to deal with a man in Richard Castle who makes himself as in the way as humanly possible.
But is it likely that McCord is going to be a little bit kinder to Rick now that she realizes just how much his life is in fact on the line? Based on what Edelstein told TVLine recently on the subject, it sure seems to be that way:
“Yeah, looming death, impending doom, it sort of changes the dynamic of things, and I think McCord allows for some leeway in terms of Castle’s participation [in the Valkyrie investigation]. Because how could you really say no to someone trying to stop themselves from dying?”
As for spending so much time with Katic, Edelstein had nothing but the absolute nicest things to say:
“She’s great. I really didn’t want to do an arc on a show without really investing as much as I could in it, or else it’s not worth it. You know what I mean? So I walked onto that show with a lot of ideas, really wanting to create a real character and a real world, and Stana was psyched, which was just great.”
