‘The X Factor’ UK preview: Sam Bailey wows at bootcamp with Emeli Sande cover

The latest -Going into “The X Factor” UK‘s bootcamp round, it was pretty clear that when it comes to the Overs category, Sam Bailey is going to be the person to beat. She has a great voice, a big story, and also seems to be a pretty nice lady. Do we find it somewhat frustrating that this show seems to want to hide the past of contestants? Surely, and that is one of the few things that we prefer when it comes to “The Voice”: They hold nothing back.

The bootcamp phase of the UK series this year looks somewhat similar to the “four chair challenge” that is being introduced here in America this season. You have six chairs, and we assume that the judges are going to place the best singers into each chair, and then figure out who to replace in the event that someone else rises to the occasion. It’s not necessarily a way of ranking the top six more so than it is a way to just create some more drama, and raise the stakes for the people singing a little later in the day.

We do think that those who go first have a clear advantage in that they are able to go out without feeling like they are going to hurt or let down their friends if they knock them out. After all, you have to remember here that there is a good bit of bonding that takes place while you film these sorts of experiences. You are around for a long time waiting to perform, and there will surely be some sad goodbyes.

Do you think that Sam’s place in the next round of the competition is pretty well assured at this point? Be sure to share below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to read the latest music from Little Mix, a group that many acts this season will aspire to be.
