‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 premiere spoilers: Everything on Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev

Delena shippers, have no fear: We have a few more updates for you on the state of the relationship during “The Vampire Diaries” premiere on Thursday, October 7.

According to a brand-new report from E! News, the first few minutes alone are going to more or less be heaven for everyone cheering for Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s characters to finally be a real couple. There’s no more sire bond, and plenty of steamy moments between Damon and Elena as they celebrate a summer full of adventures and romance. Apparently, there is also going to be a bubble bath thrown in here somewhere … you are welcome for that.

Damon is going to be spending time with another one of Nina’s characters in Katherine, as well, but not in the same sort of romantic capacity. While it sounds to us that he is going to be taking pity on her now that she is forced to live and roam the earth as a human, we know that more often than not, this show is much more complicated than that.

As for some other intriguing Damon relationships, be on the lookout for what happens between him and Jeremy. With Elena gone to Whitmore College, these two are going to take advantage of the opportunity to bond more … sort of. They have a fun relationship, and Damon may be a brotherly sort of figure and a confidante for Jeremy, which he probably needs since his other good friend right now is probably the ghost of Bonnie. (For those of Bonnie / Jeremy shippers, if there is one thing that Jeremy knows how to do, it’s romance a ghost.)
