‘Bates Motel’ season 2 spoilers: Who could be getting a little help?

Ready for a new addition in the world of “Bates Motel”? While production is currently going strong on the A&E hit, there are a few details coming out here and there as to what is going to be needed to drive the story home moving forward.

Apparently, one of these said things that is needed is someone to lend Sheriff Romero a hand. According to E! News, the series is currently casting the role of Patti Lin, a fellow detective who is described as both smart and very ambitious. She is someone who has a good bit of skill in her profession of choice, and that spells bad news for Norman and Norma Bates. The more competent people that are around, the more dangerous it becomes for these two to be able to function given all of the many misdeeds that there are out there.

Last night was a big night for the show at least in that Vera Farmiga got to attend the Primetime Emmy Awards as a nominee; however, she ended up losing the Actress in a Drama series title to favorite Claire Danes from “Homeland.” Given that there is plenty of story left to tell here, and we know already that this is going to lead to a pretty horrific end for her character, we would imagine that she is going to have quite a few opportunities moving forward to continue and exhibit some pretty great work.
