‘Dexter’ series finale spoilers: New promo raises serious questions

Who is going to live beyond the “Dexter” series finale? When you have a show that is so focused around death, it’s hard to really be that confident that everyone is going to make it out alive.

Well, the latest promo released by Showtime suggests that the body count is going to continue to rise, Elway is going to start sniffing heavily around Dexter as he tries to escape with Hannah, and a major question is asked that throws his entire future into doubt: Is he willing to sacrifice those he loves in order to save himself? If he leaves Saxon alive, he runs the risk of anyone he cares about being killed. If he kills him, the risk becomes not being able to be with Hannah forever.

This promo is blowing up around the internet right now for a number of reasons, and we’re not going to say anything concrete out of fear of potentially ruining something huge for everyone. However, we will at least say that it is best to not take everything you see or hear out there at face value. “Dexter” is a show all about red herrings, and we would be baffled if the network were to drop an enormous spoiler in a teaser for one of their final episodes when they have worked so hard to this point to keep under wraps.
